Priti Patel deports her own parents

In a shocking turn of events, Priti Patel has deported her own parents. The Home Secretary, who has been an outspoken critic of immigration, finally decided to put her money where her mouth is, and got rid of her parents who came to the UK from Uganda in the 1970s.Patel has been praised by some for her decision, with one supporter saying on Twitter that she is “finally doing something about the problem of immigration”. However, there has also been criticism, with one person asking “how can she deport her own parents?”.It is not yet clear what will happen to Patel’s parents, but it is thought they will be sent back to Uganda. This is not the first time Patel has been accused of hypocrisy on the issue of immigration, as she has previously been criticised for employing a nanny who is in the UK on a visa.
